Prospecting with the Dynamic Map

It's easy to identify market leaders, laggards, and groups that have solid confirmation.
This is a map view at the Open of a market day. All the groups are slightly weak, as indicated by the majority of the cylinders being below the map floor. No groups stand out as movers.
Twenty minutes later we notice that one stock in the Biotechnology group has risen above the map floor and is bright green, which indicates strength in this stock.
This shot shows that several stocks in the Biotechnology group are showing strength. The map is also indicating strength in Semiconductor Broadline and the Semiconductor Equipment groups.
You now see that the strength in the Biotechnology and Semiconductor groups has led to a broad rally, represented by most groups being green and above the map.
The culmination of the rally shows that all groups are now very positive with bright green cylinders. One strong stock led to one strong group, which ultimately led to a broad-market rally.
Prospecting with the Opportunity List
The Opportunity List increases VisualTrader's power as a prospecting tool. The list provides an easy-to-view hierarchy of groups and symbols within groups. Instantly see which groups are turning up and down together. Display all charts in a group with one click. Define separate, sorted lists for longs and shorts, making it easy to prospect on both sides of the market.
Prospecting Using Trend Line Alerts
Use the map or list to find the strongest and weakest candidates. Then, draw Trend Line Alerts across key support and resistance. This prospecting takes advantage of two key aspects of technical analysis - identifying charts with strong momentum first, and then as alerts "fire" on subsequent bars, an audible alert is provided and the alert is automatically moved to the Fired List.
This makes it easy to be alerted when great candidates are ready for action. Just grab the alert line and move it to reset an alert. This feature has received rave reviews - No other product has it!
